Gymnastics Rules & Policies
Welcome to VEGA. In order to serve our families and gymnasts in the best way, we require observation of the following rules and policies-designated with service and safety in mind. Health & Wellness Policy
Athletes should stay home if they have symptoms of any illness, including, but not limited to, cough, sore throat, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistently runny nose. Students should be fever-free for a minimum of 24 hours.
Attire
Leotard or tight fitted clothing only. Hair should be pulled back and tied up. Bare feet. Please no jewelry. If the gymnast has warts, they must be covered up with socks or tape. And please no two piece gymnastics suits.
Class Placement
Class size is 6-10 students, depending on the class. There must be a minimum of three students participating for recreational gymnastics class to run.
Students are placed in classes based on age. Some students may be moved into a higher class determined by the coach regardless of age or experience.
If at anytime you have questions about class placement for your student, please feel free to schedule a time to discuss your child’s progress with his or her coach.
Gym Policy
Food and beverages (other than water) are not allowed in the gym. And, please no glass of any kind. Gum is prohibited.
Gymnasts should be at the gym, dressed and ready to go with hair pulled back as they enter the gym, no more than 5 minutes before class.
Viewing Policy
As capacity regulations allow, spectators will be allowed to view in person. Please refrain from speaking with the gymnasts or instructors during observation times. If you need to speak with your child’s coach, you are encouraged to set up a time outside of regular class hours.
Facility Policy
When inside the VEGA facility, voices and activity must be kept to a minimum. This is crucial to the atmosphere and respect for all clients VEGA/Virtuosity.
Students are the responsibility of the coach for only the specified time in class. Students being dropped off for class should not be left for more than 5 minutes before class. Once a class is completed, students are to be picked up immediately. Gymnasts must remain in the facility until their ride has arrived.
At no time are children, students or otherwise, allowed in the building without parental supervision, unless they are going straight to class.
Gymnasts and observers are not permitted in the gym unless the coach is present.
Rooms labeled “private” are available only to VEGA/Virtuosity personal.
Food and beverages are allowed in the hallways (NO GLASS). Be respectful. Clean up after yourselves.
Personal items should be kept in designated areas (cubbies in the hall).
Payment and Registration
Required monthly payment method is through debit/credit card automated deduction. Billing is on the 1st of every month.
Gymnasts are automatically enrolled into the next month. Input of Credit Card Information signifies acceptance of our drop policy. If you are NOT planning on continuing, you must provide notice via email by the 15th of the month. Auto pay will be discontinued for the upcoming month. There will be no refunds or class credits for late drops after the 15th of the month.
A $30 non-– refundable annual registration fee is required for each athlete, due at enrollment.(maximum of $90 per family)
All fees are non-refundable. $35 fee for NSF returned checks.
Class fees are prorated only for new gymnasts joining mid – month.
In case of absence, students can attend one makeup class each month. Please register for makeup classes through your parent portal. Makeup class must be scheduled within two months of your student’s absence. Students must be active to enroll in makeup classes.
