Carrie Larson was awarded a scholarship to study at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in England at age 11, where she trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, tap, drama and singing. During that time, she performed with the English National Ballet dancing alongside guest star, Rudolf Nureyev.
After graduating Tring Park school, she attended The Arts Educational Schools, London, focusing her education on ballet, contemporary and modern, where she achieved advanced certifications in RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and a Diploma in Dance Education.
Trained by renowned instructors Eve Pettinger MBE, Sir Richard Alston CBE, Gary Sherwood and Clover Roope, she graduated college in 1992 and went on to perform with numerous independent contemporary dance choreographers in London.
Her most memorable performances were at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, The Place Theatre and The South Bank Centre, with Michael Popper and Sally Owen from Ballet Rambert, Leanne King and Sara Mathews.
Carrie also danced in a Royal Gala performance at the Strand Theatre in London’s West End for HRH Prince Edward.
Carrie moved to the United States in 2001 and lives with her husband and 2 children in Camas WA. She has been teaching dance since 2005 in Oregon and Washington. Miss Carrie is an ABT(r) National Training Curriculum Certified Instructor in Levels Primary through Level 3.
