Katie Schram

Dance Instructor

Hello! My name is Katie Schram, aka Miss Katie. I am one of the lucky ones who has the
opportunity to work with our youngest dancers in our Combo 1 and 2 classes. I first joined the
Virtuosity family as a dance parent many years ago, and have been a part of the teaching staff for two years. Growing up I began my dance journey at age three, continuing through my college years. I still take lessons to this day!

When I am not teaching at the dance studio, you will find me teaching kindergarten in the
Camas Public Schools. This is my 20th year of teaching, all in the early childhood years. My
expertise in child development and what is developmentally appropriate drives my teaching in
the class room as well as the dance studio. There is so much joy working with kids this age! I
love helping our dancers express their joy and strengthen their developing brains through
movement, stories, music and listening skills. These not only provide an amazing foundation for future dance training, but also for life in general.

My greatest passion is raising my four children with my husband in Washougal. Yes, we are
very busy! We love being a part of our church family, cozy family movie nights, cheering on
each other’s various activities and rooting for our favorite football teams. Being a born and
raised Minnesotan, I love all things snow, and Minnesota Vikings football!
